Recognition for the Iliad Literary/Art Magazine 2007/8Â
The National Scholastic Press Association conferred the honor rating of All-American to 2007 Iliad Literary-Art Magazine with four out of five marks of distinction. NSPA’s All-American rating is their top honor and the Iliad received marks of distinction for Writing and Editing; Photography, Art, Graphics and Typography; Layout; and Concept. The magazine received bonus points for the overall concept, which was “the carnival.” The magazine also received bonus points for Photography, Arts, Graphics and Typography. This is the second straight year the magazine has been awarded top honors from NSPA.  Â
The 2007 Iliad Literary-Art Magazine was evaluated by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association as a Gold Medalist. The magazine amassed 970 of a possible 1,000 points. It received All-Columbian Honors in Organization, Content, and Design. The 2007 edition is the first time the Iliad has received a Gold Medal; the magazine received Silver Medalist status the last two years.  The editors for the 2007 Iliad were seniors Lisa Glaser and Sophie Kohn. The cover was designed by senior Chris Miller. Kohn will continue her stewardship of the Iliad this year with junior Bryan Barks. Miller is the Editor-in-Chief and Glaser is the Managing Editor for the Odyssey Newsmagazine. 2006-7

- The 2006 Iliad received a rank of Superior in the 2006 NCTE Program to Recognize Excellence in Student Literary Magazines. This is the highest honor NCTE bestows upon a student literary magazine. The editors for the 2006 Iliad were Mary Grace Hager, presently enrolled at Rice University, and Anna Sotter, presently enrolled at Tufts University.
- The 2006 Iliad received 4th Place in the Best of Show category at the National Scholastic Press Association’s Fall Conference in Nashville, TN this past November.
- Â The 2006 Iliad recieved an All Southern evaluation at the 2007 SIPA Media 360 Convention in Columbia, SC in March 2007.
